Hormone Replacement Therapy Is Back in the Conversation...But Let's Slow Down
Hormone replacement therapy isn't simply "good" or "bad." The right question is whether it's appropriate for you. With new FDA labeling changes and ongoing research, it's a great time to have an informed conversation with your healthcare provider.

If you've been anywhere near the menopause conversation lately, you've probably heard about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) again.
And honestly, it's about time women had a better, more balanced conversation about it.
For years, many women heard the words "hormone replacement therapy" and immediately thought, "That's dangerous."
Now we're seeing headlines about changes to FDA warnings, new research, and women asking whether HRT might actually be an option for them.
Here's the important part: both extremes can be misleading.
HRT can be an effective treatment for certain menopause symptoms, particularly hot flashes and night sweats, and it can provide other benefits for some women. But that doesn't mean every woman should take hormones.
Your age, symptoms, medical history, personal risk factors, type of HRT, dose, route, and timing all matter.
In other words, this isn't a "yes or no" question.
It's a "could this be appropriate for ME?" question.
And that's a conversation worth having with a healthcare provider who understands menopause. Don't make your decision based on a TikTok video saying hormones are either a miracle or a disaster.
The menopause conversation is becoming more nuanced. And that's a very good thing.
Women deserve facts - not fear.
