Not Everything Is Menopause — And That’s Actually Important
Menopause information is everywhere right now — but more information doesn’t always mean better information. Not every symptom automatically means you need HRT, supplements, or a complete hormone overhaul. You deserve personalized care, not internet panic.

Lately, menopause content is everywhere. One scroll through social media and suddenly every symptom feels connected to hormones.
Trouble sleeping? Menopause.
Anxiety? Menopause.
Brain fog? Menopause.
Weight gain? Definitely menopause.
And honestly? Some of it probably is.
But one of the biggest conversations happening right now is around misinformation online - especially the idea that every woman over 40 automatically needs hormone therapy IMMEDIATELY. Doctors are starting to speak out because many women are self-diagnosing based on TikTok clips and influencer advice alone.
Here’s the thing nobody talks about enough: perimenopause overlaps with a lot of other health issues. Stress, thyroid problems, depression, burnout, anemia, poor sleep, insulin resistance, and even simple exhaustion from carrying too much for too many people can look very similar.
That doesn’t mean your symptoms aren’t real. They absolutely are!
But it does mean you deserve personalized care — not internet panic.
Hormone therapy can be life-changing for some women. For others, lifestyle changes, sleep support, nutrition, therapy, exercise, or different medical treatment may help more. There is no universal “right” menopause path.
The pressure to immediately optimize every hormone can also become exhausting. Women are being sold supplements, peptides, powders, and expensive wellness plans promising to “fix” aging. And many of us are left wondering if we’re somehow failing menopause if we’re still struggling.
You’re not failing.
Your body is changing. Your needs are changing. And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is slow down long enough to figure out what your body is actually asking for - instead of what social media says it should need.
